Looking for a Engineering Manager

Concise’s engineering manager is a proactive person who is passionate about their work and infects others with the same passion. Someone who cares about the people and the team, is able to create a psychologically safe and supportive environment and ensure that team goals are met. Courageous enough to stand up for the team, but willing to compromise enough to seek mutually satisfactory solutions. A good listener who leads the team by example. A technically brainy individual who is constantly developing and is able to create a product strategy.

Your role will be to create a well-motivated and cooperative team where people feel supported. In addition, to set clear goals and ensure effective work of the team.

Responsibilities:

  • team leading and ensuring high quality and timely deliverables
  • organising, analysing and improving team work processes
  • creating a good working atmosphere in the team: secure , open, trusting, and collaborative
  • addressing the development, satisfaction and motivation of team members
  • continuous self-development, both in software development and team management
  • explaining Concise’s vision, objectives and strategy to the team and supporting, sharing and embedding the resulting actions and practices within your team
  • communication – within the team, between the company and the team, with the customer and other stakeholders
  • establishing, maintaining and developing good client and partner relationships
  • mapping team composition and competencies, recruiting, onboarding etc
  • organising team events and celebrations
  • embedding Concise´s values and #superagile culture in your team
  • setting and monitoring the team’s budget
  • supporting the team during the Product Owner’s leave of absence, if necessary

Main competencies

  • empathic and recognizing leadership skills (conflict resolution, change management, communication skills including listening, negotiation, etc.)
  • experience in IT development processes and practices –  how development teams work and what are the common challanges in them
  • the ability to get a team to work together and deliver results
  • critical and strategic thinking
  • problem-solving skills
  • fluency in written and spoken English
